HOSPITALS OR BARRACKS?

HOSPITAL: Whangarei / NZ

Hospitals or barracks?

Is the church a hospital?

“OUR [SALVATION ARMY] BUILDINGS ARE GOD’S SPIRITUAL HOSPITALS.” – Madge Unsworth, Maiden Tribute (WarCry o4 November 2017)

Is the church a barracks?

“Far too many Christians regard the Christian Church merely as a clinic, a hospital, instead of realizing that it is more like a barracks.”

We read in Second Timothy 2:3: “ENDURE HARDSHIP WITH US LIKE A GOOD SOLDIER OF JESUS CHRIST.”

We read in First Corinthians 16:13: “BE ON YOUR GUARD; STAND FIRM IN THE FAITH; BE MEN OF COURAGE; BE STRONG.’

  • when the rooster crows, or
  • at dawn.

End:

If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.'”
