“We have different gifts,
Romans 12:6-8
Intr.:
according to the grace given us.
1. If a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.
2. If it is serving, let him serve;
3. if it is teaching, let him teach;
4. if it is encouraging, let him encourage;
5. if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously;
6. if it is leadership, let him govern diligently;
7. if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.”
End:

“For I resolved
to know nothing
while I was with you except
Jesus Christ
and him crucified.”
First Corinthians 2:2

“This is what the LORD says:
Isaiah 66:1-2
Intr.:
1. ‘Heaven is my throne, and
2. the earth is my footstool.
3. Where is the house you will build for me?
4. Where will my resting place be?
5. Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?’
End:
declares the LORD.”
Character

“Life is a series of experiences, each of which makes us bigger, even though sometimes it is hard to realise this. For the world was built to develop character and we must learn that setbacks and griefs which we endure help us in our marching onward.” – Henry Ford (Coffee News, Vol 128:4)
Please compare the above quote by Henry Ford with the following verses from the BIBLE, written by the apostle Paul to the church in Rome.
“And we rejoice in the HOPE of the glory of God.
(“…, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.” – NLT)
Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings,
because we know that suffering produces perseverance;
perseverance, character; and
character HOPE.
And HOPE does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.” Romans 5:2-5 ( “And this hope will not lead us to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” – NLT)
Are those two writers not saying the same thing?
Please let me know!
Romans 5:2-5 is also a good outline for a sermon.

“‘A new command
John 13:34,35
Intr.:
I give you:
A. Love one another.
B. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
C. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’”

“Large crowds were traveling with Jesus , and turning to them he said:
Luke 14:25-27
Intr.:
A. ‘If anyone comes to me and
does not hate his
1. father and
2. mother, his
3. wife and
4. children, his
5. brothers and
6. sisters – yes, even his
7. own life -
he cannot be my disciple.
B. And anyone
who does not carry
1. his cross and
2. follow me
cannot be my disciple.’”

“The Lord
Isaiah 29:13
Intr.:
says:
1. ‘These people come near to me with their mouth and
2. honor me with their lips,
3. but their hearts are far from me.
End:
Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men.’”

“But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man ‘unclean.’
Matthew 15:18, 19
For out of the heart come
1. evil thoughts,
2. murder,
3. adultery,
4. sexual immorality,
5. theft,
6. false testimony,
7. slander.
These are what make a man ‘unclean’; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him ‘unclean.’”
Who is Blessed?
Posted by werner in Diary, Sermon Outline on November 29, 2011
WHO IS BLESSED?
Luke 11:27,28
Intr.:
THE AMPLIFIED BIBLE says not only blessed, but happy and to be envied. Who does not want to be happy?
1. Blessed is the mother who gave you birth.
2. Blessed is the mother who nursed you.
That’s what a woman in the crowd called out!
But what did the Lord Jesus Christ reply? He replied:
3. Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God.
Those people who hear the word of God are happy and to be envied.
HEARING THE WORD OF GOD.
Please don’t only hear the word of God on Sunday in the church, but read it also at home.
Listen to the instructions.
4. Blessed rather are those who obey the word of God.
Those people who obey the word of God are happy and to be envied.
OBEYING THE WORD OF GOD.
Obey the instructions.
End:
If we want to be blessed, if we want to be happy and to be envied we must hear and obey the BIBLE!

“‘ARE YOU THE ONE WHO WAS TO COME, OR SHOULD WE EXPECT SOMEONE ELSE?’”
Matthew 11:3-6
Intr.:
Jesus replied, ‘Go back and report to John what you
hear and
see:
1. The blind receive sight,
2. the lame walk,
3. those who have leprosy are cured,
4. the deaf hear,
5. the dead are raised, and
6. the good news is preached to the poor.
End:
Blessed is the man who does not fall away on account of me.’”
