YOUR BODY
Introduction:
“Do you not know that your body
1. is a temple of the Holy Spirit,
a. who is in you,
b. whom you have received from God?
2. You are not your own;
3. you were bought at a price.
End:
Therefore honor God with your body.”
“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple.”
Solomon
Posted by werner in Sermon Outline on May 26, 2010
I am reading the Bible, the Word of the Living God, from cover to cover and in my daily reading I arrived at the book of First Kings.
In the first eleven chapters of First Kings you find the story of Solomon.
Intr.:
“As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods,…” First Kings 11:4
In chapter eleven the Bible tells us that Solomon built a high place for Chemosh and Molech. Chemosh was the detestable god of Moab and Molech was the detestable god of the Ammonites. First Kings 11:7
The Bible says also:
“The Lord became angry with Solomon because his heart had turned away from the Lord,…” First Kings 11:9
ADVERSARIES AND A REBEL
A. Then the Lord raised up against Solomon an adversary,…” First Kings 11:14
His name was Hadad. Hadad, an Edomite prince.
Read about him in First Kings 11:14-22
B. And God raised up against Solomon another adversary,…” First Kings 11:23
His name was Rezon. Rezon, the son of Eliada.
Read about him in First Kings 11:23-25
C. “Also, Jeroboam son of Nebat rebelled against the king.” First Kings 11:26
Jeroboam was an official of the King.
Read his whole story in First Kings 11:26-40
End:
The end of chapter 11 tells us:
“Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years. Then he rested…” First Kings 11:42,43

LIVING EVERY MOMENT”
_____________________________________
That and more about the free service you can find on page two of the local paper The Northland Age, Thursday, May 13, 2010.
Think about that really hard. Is that a challenge for you?
The Bible, the Word of the Living God says, that those who have received Christ, have passed from
A. DEATH (darkness)
into
B. LIFE (light) (John 5:24)
The motto of the redeemed is:
“FOR ME TO LIVE IS CHRIST” (Philippians 1:21)
1. Romans 1:17
Living every moment by faith.
The justified “live by faith” (Romans 1:17.
2. Romans 12:1
Living every moment as a “living sacrifice”.
As priests, we present our bodies a “living sacrifice,” and thus live consecratedly.
Living every moment unto the Lord.
As the Lord’s own, we are responsible to “live unto the Lord” (Romans 14:7,8).
Living every moment in the Spirit.
To “live in the Spirit” is to evidence we have life from Him.
5. Titus 2:12; First Peter 2:24
Living every moment
– self-controlled lives in this present age.
–upright lives in this present age.
– godly lives in this present age.
To “live selfcontrolled, upright, and godly” in this present age, is to prove we know the grace of God.

b. attitudes
of the heart.”
