“To make the World a better Place.”

“To make the world a better place.”

That was the answer from one of my two listeners from Germany, when I asked them, “What do you think what life is all about?”

I asked that question while I was witnessing, telling them about the Lord Jesus Christ.

My desire as a true follower of the Lord Jesus Christ is to grow spiritually and one of the best ways to do that is to tell others about the Lord.

We have the message, but if we want people to respond

1. We must ask the Lord to open hearts.

In the Bible we are reading about a woman called Lydia . She listened to the message of the apostle Paul and the Lord opened her heart. She was from Thyatira and a dealer in purple cloth. She was also a worshiper of God.

Acts 16:14

“The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message.”

While we are witnessing we must at the same time ask the Lord to open the hearts of our hearers! – Read about Lydia in the book of Acts, Acts chapter 16:11-15

2. We must ask the Lord to open blind minds.

The minds of unbelievers are blinded. Who has blinded the minds of unbelievers? The devil! Unbelievers are blind to the light of the gospel.

While we are witnessing we must at the same time ask the Lord to open the blind minds of the unbelieving listeners.

Second Corinthians 4:4

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of  Christ, who is the image of God.”

3. We must ask the heavenly Father to plant plants.

In Matthew 15:13 the Lord Jesus Christ says:

“‘Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.'”

I know that I am a plant, a believer, planted by the heavenly Father of the Lord Jesus Christ. Do you?

While we are witnessing we must ask the heavenly Father of the Lord Jesus Christ to plant plants.

Let me summarize with Acts 13:48!

But most of all we must ask the Lord to lead us to people who are appointed for eternal life.

Acts 13:48

“When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honered the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.”

Personal Evangelism

The Lord Jesus Christ enables us to speak boldly for Him.

The Lord Jesus Christ enables us also to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.

I want to say here that the Lord Jesus Christ helps me again and again to speak for him and testify to the gospel of God’s grace. I would have a lot to write about………

“So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldy for the Lord, …” – Acts 14:3

“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.” – Acts 20:24

“What’s your Dad into?” – “FATHER’S DAY, SUNDAY 4 SEPTEMBER”

“FATHER’S DAY – SUNDAY 4 SEPTEMBER”

“What’s your dad into?

What a good question!

I am a father and people know what I am into.

One of my hobbies is riding motorbikes. I also like to read good books. I like to read the BIBLE, the Word of the Living God. I also like to tell people about the Lord Jesus Christ. I did that today, when  I met two tourists from Germany.

PERSONAL EVANGELISM / SERMON OUTLINE

PERSONAL EVANGELISM (4 points)

Acts 1:8

“‘But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in

JERUSALEM, and

IN ALL JUDEA and

SAMARIA, and

TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH.'”

AND YOU WILL BE MY WITNESSES IN KAITAIA:

THERE ARE LOTS OF STORIES (Personal Evangelism) TO WRITE ABOUT, BUT I DON’T THINK THE LORD WANTS ME TO WRITE THEM DOWN, AT LEAST NOT ALL OF THEM.

What an Encouragement! (Personal Evangelism)

I have had conversations with people  (I have never met before) from all over the world where I live.

One goal visitors to New Zealand have is  to go to Cape Reinga in the far north of the country. Kaitaia (Awanui) is on the way to Cape Reinga and I don’t think there are many travellers who don’t stop at Kaitaia when driving to Cape Reinga. We live in Kaitaia.  (Yes, there is a McDonald’s at Kaitaia with FREEWiFi)

Most of the travellers from all over the world don’t know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.

But what an encouragement it is when I meet true followers of the Lord amongst the people I talk with (Kiwis or tourists) and I see the work of the Lord Jesus Christ in their lives.

That only happened last Sunday afternoon.
