“Jesus is the Reason for the Season”

“JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON”

was written on the shirt.

What a joy it was to talk today to the person wearing the shirt straight after the conversation with an elderly couple from Germany. (I am also from Germany.) The couple from Berlin did not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

My Pulpit is the World – 3. 11. 2010

It was a privilege to sit today with three young Germans from Berlin in a restaurant and tell them about my belief in the Lord Jesus Christ. The three young fellows are over here in New Zealand for three weeks to support the German rowers  at Lake Karapiro.

I told them of course what Angelika Merkel said about preaching the GOSPEL in GERMNAY again. Angelika Merkel said: “Let us talk again about Christianity! Let us proclaim the GOSPEL with a joyful heart! How often are we doing that?”

The Missionaries from the U.S.A. in Kaitaia (P. E.)

I met them on the Street, the two young men – Latter-day Saints (Mormons) – from the United States of America. And I think they listened carefully when I told them what I believe.

Romans 10:9

“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘JESUS IS LORD’ and believe in  your heart that God raised him  from the dead, you will be saved.”

There are many other churches here in Kaitaia. Can someone tell me why only the Mormons and Jehovah’s  Witnesses have an organized witnessing programme?

The Bench in Front of the Warehouse in Kaitaia (P.E.)

I am writing this to encourage you: Acts 1:8

A stranger came and sat beside me on the bench in front of the Warehouse, where I was sitting drinking from a bottle of water.

After talking about the weather, I mentioned the upcoming celebration of the Kaitaia Baptist Church.

He told me that he was a born again believer. He really was, and we had a long talk on the bench about spiritual things.

PRAISE THE LORD!

More Germans in Kaitaia!

It was late afternoon when I spotted the three young people speaking the German language. They came from Cape Reinga and were on their way to Rotorua on this rainy and stormy Friday.

When I talked to them about my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, I found out that one of them was also a believer and a witness for the Lord. It was a great joy for me and encouragement to talk to them.

Personal Evangelism:

The Lord gave me today another opportunity to tell two tourists from Germany about him. This time I was sitting with them in the restaurant.

My Pulpit is the World. (The four Germans in NZ)

It was a real privilege today to stand in front of four young people from Germany in one of the restaurants and tell them about the Lord Jesus Christ in their mother tongue.

Personal Evangelism:

ONE

The two monks (Krishna) were selling books in front of the  Post Office here in Kaitaia. If they find out that you are not going to buy their books, your conversation with them can be very short.

In my conversation with one of them I managed to find out that he became a monk because he was looking for a saintly person.

I am still thinking about the saints he was looking for.

About that time I was reading what C. H. Spurgeon says about saints in his book “Morning and Evening”, daily readings. On July 6 he is explaining Romans 1:7, where it says, “Called to be saints”.

I had learned some time ago that I am a saint and was glad to read about it again!

TWO

I did not count them, but there must have been at least four or even five girls sitting on the footpath on Watts  Street here in Kaitaia in front of the Kaitaia Baptist Church.

They asked for money. They did not get any money of course, but I told them about the love of God.

I am still thinking that those who are preaching in  the Baptist church are having it much easier than those who are telling the good news in front of the  church.

“WHAT YOUR HOME’S REALLY WORTH”

In one of the restaurants here in town I see the New Zealand Herald of today and written on the front page is, “What your home’s really worth.” I don’t know about you, but I am very much interested. Why? I am reminded of my Heavenly Home and my Heavenly Citizenship.

My own copy of  The New Zealand Herald of today is soon in a plastic bag and I am on my short way home.

Coming towards me are two young people with big badges. In my conversation with them I find out, that they are from the Crime Prevention Kaitaia office, called the FAR NORTH SAFER COMMUNITY COUNCIL, patrolling the streets of our town.

What an opportunity to tell them about the Lord Jesus Christ, to proclaim the gospel.

I remember also the paper of today in my plastic bag and the words  “What your home’s really worth.” When I am telling them about my Heavenly Home, their eyes beginning to shine, and I see a smile on their faces.

At home, looking closer at “What your home’s really worth” , I find out, that that is the headline of the FREE 28-page magazine called  “The New Zealand Herald Property Report, a quarterly guide on house prices and great places to live.”

“What your home is worth now.”

The Bible, the Word of the Living God has a lot to say about our Heavenly Home.

The Heavenly Home is the final dwelling place of the saints. Here are some verses from the Bible about our Heavenly Home: Matthew 6:20; Luke 10:20; John 14:2; Acts 7:55;  Second Corinthians 5:1; Revelation 7:9; Revelation 22:14

Read more about the heavenly Home in Revelation chapter 21.
