Personal Evangelism:

ONE

The two monks (Krishna) were selling books in front of the  Post Office here in Kaitaia. If they find out that you are not going to buy their books, your conversation with them can be very short.

In my conversation with one of them I managed to find out that he became a monk because he was looking for a saintly person.

I am still thinking about the saints he was looking for.

About that time I was reading what C. H. Spurgeon says about saints in his book “Morning and Evening”, daily readings. On July 6 he is explaining Romans 1:7, where it says, “Called to be saints”.

I had learned some time ago that I am a saint and was glad to read about it again!

TWO

I did not count them, but there must have been at least four or even five girls sitting on the footpath on Watts  Street here in Kaitaia in front of the Kaitaia Baptist Church.

They asked for money. They did not get any money of course, but I told them about the love of God.

I am still thinking that those who are preaching in  the Baptist church are having it much easier than those who are telling the good news in front of the  church.

“WHAT YOUR HOME’S REALLY WORTH”

In one of the restaurants here in town I see the New Zealand Herald of today and written on the front page is, “What your home’s really worth.” I don’t know about you, but I am very much interested. Why? I am reminded of my Heavenly Home and my Heavenly Citizenship.

My own copy of  The New Zealand Herald of today is soon in a plastic bag and I am on my short way home.

Coming towards me are two young people with big badges. In my conversation with them I find out, that they are from the Crime Prevention Kaitaia office, called the FAR NORTH SAFER COMMUNITY COUNCIL, patrolling the streets of our town.

What an opportunity to tell them about the Lord Jesus Christ, to proclaim the gospel.

I remember also the paper of today in my plastic bag and the words  “What your home’s really worth.” When I am telling them about my Heavenly Home, their eyes beginning to shine, and I see a smile on their faces.

At home, looking closer at “What your home’s really worth” , I find out, that that is the headline of the FREE 28-page magazine called  “The New Zealand Herald Property Report, a quarterly guide on house prices and great places to live.”

“What your home is worth now.”

The Bible, the Word of the Living God has a lot to say about our Heavenly Home.

The Heavenly Home is the final dwelling place of the saints. Here are some verses from the Bible about our Heavenly Home: Matthew 6:20; Luke 10:20; John 14:2; Acts 7:55;  Second Corinthians 5:1; Revelation 7:9; Revelation 22:14

Read more about the heavenly Home in Revelation chapter 21.

Coopers Beach Christian Youth Camp – Easter Camp 2010

It was a privilege today to listen to two blessed teachers of the Bible, namely Robert Siakimotu and Lincoln Badger at the EASTER CAMP 2010, Coopers Beach Christian Youth Camp.

When I came back the Lord had also a speaking engagement for me in a restaurant. It was not planned of course, but that is how the Lord works. MY PULPIT IS THE WORLD! Praise the LORD!

My Pulpit is the World – Personal Evangelism

Last Tuesday I had the most blessed day while talking to people. I would like to tell you about it here – but for obvious reasons I cannot do that.

Let me only tell you that out there are more brothers and sisters in Christ than you would ever imagine.

The Lord bless you!

Matthew 10:32,33

“…..another magical day…”

It was not the first time that I saw the ice cream truck parked there near the petrol station and that I read what was written on the front of the truck. This time I was able to write it down on my mobile phone and send the text to twitter. “Delivering another magical day to New Zealand” was written on the Tip Top ice cream truck.

I was sitting down on the nearby bench while writing down the sentence about the ‘magical day’. – And I was not aware that the Lord was in fact preparing another ‘magical day’ for me.

I was not the only one sitting on the bench. There was already someone else occupying the seat.

As ‘it happened’ we got talking and I came across another person who really has a living relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Did we talk for more than half an hour? I do not know. But I know that I prayed at the end of our gathering and the Lord Jesus Christ was with us according to his promise. Matthew 18:20

MY PULPIT IS THE WORLD (PE)

What a beautiful day it was !

I just came along and heard the strangers conversing in  my mother tongue.

Eventually I had two listeners before me. This time outside. I was standing and they were sitting and really listening.

*************

And remember again the chapter in the Bible where the Lord Jesus Christ is talking with a Samaritan Woman in John 4:1-25.

Read also Matthew 10:32; First Corinthians 9:16.

“Follow the Leader” or On Saturday is Market Day in Kaitaia

I looked at the back of a car and saw “FOLLOW THE LEADER” written above the number plate in quite big letters.

Who is your leader? My leader is the Lord Jesus Christ. I am following him already for many years.

In Matthew 4:19, my leader, the Lord Jesus Christ says,  ” ‘Come,  follow me,’ Jesus said,…………………………’and I will make you fishers of men.’ “

It ‘just happened’ that all of a sudden on the marketplace I heard an elderly couple conversing in the German language.

We got talking of course, and in the course of our conversation I mentioned also, what I had read on the back of the car and that I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We talked for quite some time. I told him what was on my heart and he told be what he thought…….

Pray for the couple!

Meine Kanzel ist die Welt

DEUTSCHE IN NEUSEELAND:

“The Best Use of Life…..”

“The best use of life is to invest it in something which will outlast life.”

William James

In John 4:36 we read,

“Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop FOR ETERNAL LIFE, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.”P1030085

“Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’ ” Matthew 9:37,38

I had two conversations today. In those two conversations I talked to people about my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

One conversation was with two Germans, a young man and a young woman. The young man has a brother who is studying to be a catholic priest.

If it has been revealed to you by God, the Father, that Jesus is the Christ  (Messiah), the Son of the Living God, and if you know that you are planted by God, the Father, you “must” tell others about your FAITH!

Matthew 16:17; Matthew 15:13
