From Kaitaia to Pukenui last Thursday

The Northland Age, Thursday, September 21, 2017

“GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, CALL ON HIS NAME; MAKE KNOWN AMONG THE NATIONS WHAT HE HAS DONE,” is the verse from the Bible in our local paper today. (The Northland Age, Thursday, September 21, 2017.)

You Find the verse in 1 Chronicles 16:8.

And what the LORD has done I told a young man today, who was also travelling by bus from Kaitaia to Pukenui. I like to use the Far North Link bus service not only to Pukenui, but also to Mangonui and Ahipara, because the service is free for people, who have reached a certain age.

The young man was on his way to Cape Reinga north of Pukenui. He was looking forward to walk the Te Araroa Trail from Cape Reinga to the Bluff, from the north of New Zealand to the south of the country. He told me that the trail is about 3,000 km long.

“Te Araroa Trail STARTS HERE”

We are to make known among the nations what the LORD has done. The young man came from Italy, near the Austrian border.
