FACING TOMORROW

A beautiful flower.

“Because He lives I can face tomorrow,” came to my mind early this morning.

Think about it, because the Lord Jesus Christ lives, I can face my future. (The Lord Jesus Christ is holding the future.)

“Because He lives I can face tomorrow,” is the beginning of the chorus of the hymn: “GOD SENT HIS SON, THEY CALLED HIM JESUS, …” The song is written by Gloria and Bill Gaither.

The chorus tells us that three things are happening because the Lord Jesus Christ lives:

  • We can face today, tomorrow, and our whole future.
  • We are no longer afraid.
  • We are enjoying our life.

In John 14:19 the Lord Jesus Christ says:

“BECAUSE I LIVE, YOU ALSO WILL  LIVE.”

What a blessing it is to meditate on these things!

Quote

“I NEVER GOT AWAY FROM JESUS AND HIM CRUCIFIED. AND I FOUND THAT WHEN MY PEOPLE WERE GRIPPED BY THIS GREAT EVANGELICAL DOCTRINE OF CHRIST AND HIM CRUCIFIED, I HAD NO NEED TO GIVE THEM INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT MORALITY. I FOUND THAT ONE FOLLOWED AS THE SURE AND INEVITABLE FRUIT OF THE OTHER.” – David Brainerd
