What makes you happy?

One thing that makes me really happy is telling other people about what the Lord Jesus Christ has done in my life.

You can do that anywhere! I did that just the other day and sometimes there are even more than three listeners.

What makes you happy?

SPECIAL PLACES IN THE FAR NORTH OF NEW ZEALAND.

Readers of the local paper are invited to submit photos of the Far North’s special places. I submitted the following photo and I found it in the paper today. (The Northland  Age, Thursday, March 9, 2017):

Aliens and Strangers

“Why fit in …”

“Why fit in when you were born to stand out?” asks Dr Seuss.

Believers in the Lord Jesus Christ were born again to stand out in this world.

We are aliens. We are strangers

This is what Peter says in First Peter 2:11:

“Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against the soul.”

Let me say here that all the letters in the New Testament are written to believers, to true followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let me also emphasize that the Apostle Peter is URGING believers to abstain from sinful desires, which war against the soul.”

And the question really is: Why fit in with the sinful desires of the world, which war against the soul, when we were born again to stand out in the world as aliens and strangers?

LISTENING

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” – Genesis 1:1

“Who will we listen to in 2017?”

I am reading the question while looking at an advertisement. What a good question. And I like to answer questions like that.

I find the question in our local paper, The Northland Age, and the advert is about the Mike Hosking Breakfast NewstalkZB from 6am – 8.30am weekdays.

“Who will we listen to in 2017?”

I have been listening  to the Lord Jesus Christ since coming out of darkness into his light  and will continue to listen to him not only in 2017, but until the end of my life.
