There are many people who think that they are on the way to heaven, but they are actually on the wrong way.

“WRONG WAY”

WRONG WAYS ARE:

1. Obedience, obedience to what it says in the Bible.
2. Living a good life, doing our best.
3. Doing good works.
4. Prayer, Attending church, church membership.
5. Water Baptism, Holy Communion. (Is for those who are already saved!)
6. Being born of Christian parents
7. Confirmation, penance, extreme unction.

Only faith in the Lord Jesus Christ can save us. In Acts 16:30 the jailer asked, “‘Sirs, what must I do to be saved?'” What is the answer? “‘Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved – you and your household.'”

“THE CAPACITY FOR HOPE IS THE MOST SIGNIFICANT FACT OF LIFE. IT PROVIDES HUMAN BEINGS WITH A SENSE OF DESTINATION AND ENERGY TO GET STARTED.” 

“Christ died for our sins,” when HE came the first time.

Norman Cousins, the American political journalist and writer, who lived from 1915 – 1990 said that.

The great HOPE of the true believers has been the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. In Titus 2:13 we read, “while we wait for the blessed hope – the glorious appearing of the great God and Savior Jesus Christ,”

In 5,000 of the 7,000 hymns Charles Wesley wrote he mentions the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.

“When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound and time shall be no more,” is a hymn of Christ’s return, which I really like. The Hymn is by James M. Black. It was the signature tune of the Dutch Evangelist Wim Malgo many years ago. I used to listen to him on the radio when I was a young Christian.

COMPASS

Heinrich Heine, the German poet, essayist and literary critic said, “HERE’S TO MATRIMONY, THE HIGH SEA FOR WHICH NO COMPASS HAS YET BEEN INVENTED.”

The Bible says that marriage has been ordained of the Lord and is the oldest human institution.

There are of course several reasons for marriage, but one reason is to obey the command of God in Genesis 1:28. The Bible says also that Christians may only marry Christians. (Second Corinthians 6:14-17) Genuine love is essential to a happy marriage. Please read Ephesians 5:25 and Titus 2:4. Please read also what the Bible says in Exodus 20:14 about adultery. We can see the sanctity of marriage, when we see how God hates adultery. Matthew 19:8 teaches that divorce has not been in the original plan of God for humans. Matthew 19:6 says that marriage is a lifetime contract.

We must make the Lord Jesus Christ the Head of our home. He must be the Lord and Saviour of the home.

There is a compass for matrimony and that is the BIBLE.
