WHAT WILL BE TOLD?

In memory of …

In the Bible in Matthew 26:6-13 we read about what a woman has done and that it will be told throughout all the world wherever the gospel is preached in memory of her.

What has the woman done?

She poured expensive perfume on the head of the Lord Jesus Christ. This happened in the home of  Simon the leper in the town of Bethlehem.

WHAT DID THE DISCIPLES SAY TO THAT?

They said: “What a waste of expensive perfume. Why was it not sold? We could have sold it for a lot of money. Why was the money not given to the poor?”

WHAT DID THE LORD JESUS CHRIST SAY TO THAT?

This was the Lord’s answer to the disciples: “Leave her alone. What she has done was a really good thing. Soon I will not be with you any longer. But the poor people will always be with you.” (The poor are in the news at the present time here in New Zealand.}

In fact the Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 26:12, “When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.”

What will be told …?

What will be told in memory of you?

What will be told in memory of me?

At the moment I am reading the books by G. F. Dempster on PERSONAL EVANGELISM.

“To some whose experiences in personal evangelism have seemed uneventful, and unfruitful, they may be an incentive to renewed efforts and  fresh consecration.” – G. F. Dempster
