“I CALL AS MY

HEART

GROWS FAINT; LEAD ME TO THE ROCK THAT IS HIGHER THAN I.” – Psalm 61:2

That Book extract should not even be on my bookshelf. It is not a proper book. Two staples are holding 24 pages together.

When I pierced my thumb today really painful with one of the staples it came to my mind to toss the extract.

I cannot remember for how long I have had those pages. If I remember correctly they were sent to me by a missionary in Chile in South America. And I believe for a reason.

It is the story of a servant of the Lord in Switzerland who has seen revival. That was some time ago.

In the extract it says that there is a reluctance today to print books like that. The book is in German and here is a quote from the book:

“EINE VON FINSTEREN MAECHTEN GEREINIGTE VERSAMMLUNG IST EINE GEISTLICHE GEBURTSSTAETTE FUER SUCHENDE MENSCHEN.”

(“A CONGREGATION THAT HAS BEEN CLEANSED FROM THE POWER OF DARKNESS IS A SPIRITUAL BIRTHPLACE FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE LOOKING FOR THE TRUTH.”)

As you can see in spite of my bleeding thumb I felt led to read the 24 pages. And I read the pages with great interest and will not only read them again but will study the extract. I am glad I did not toss it.

“O wie sauer lasse ich mir’s werden, dass man nur in Athen von mir spreche!”

Warum strengt sich der Ruhmsuechtige an? Was will er als Lohn?

Er will die Anerkennung von anderen, und nicht nur von denen die jetzt leben, sondern auch von denen, die noch nicht geboren sind.

Man kann sich gut vorstellen, dass sich sogenannte Weltmenschen einen Namen machen wollen. Aber wie steht es mit den wahren Gotteskindern?

Zur Zeit lese ich von dem Erweckungsprediger Markus Hauser. Er betete, dass sein Hunger nach dem Heiligen Geist erfuellt wuerde. Und es war ihm wirklich ernst damit. Er betete fuer lange Zeit. Zuerst mit einem Mitarbeiter, aber der gab auf.

Markus Hauser betete weiter und betete schliesslich: “TUE ES ZU DEINER EHRE!”

Und dann geschah es. Es war wie ein Blitz oder wie Feuer vom Himmel. Ein Feuer setzte sich auf ihn.
