I Went Back

"TRUE STORIES OF GREAT ESCAPES"

“TRUE STORIES OF GREAT ESCAPES”

I don’t know why I went back to get the book, but I did.

It was Saturday market in front of The Warehouse here in Kaitaia last week, when I saw the Reader’s Digest book with the title  “True Stories of Great Escape.”  I was sort of interested, but when the lady wanted  $ 2.00 for the second-hand book, I said that I would pay 50 cents. She was adamant that it was $ 2.00 and I walked away. But after walking a short distance I went back and bought the book for $ 2.00.

Now I know why I went back to buy the book:

I am reading now the story in the book called “THE SMALL WOMAN” by Alan Burgess. It is a missionary story and tells the story of Gladys Aylward, who worked as a missionary in China. I love to read missionary stories.
