WHAT IS ON YOUR MIND?

One thing is very much on my mind, and that is hearing (reading) words and putting them into practice, and hearing (reading) words and not putting them into practice. (Or is that even uttermost on my mind?)

What I am reading just now is a perfect illustration:

A lady tells about her first and her second marriage.

In her first marriage she did not do what her father told her to do. The relationship lasted only four years. In her second marriage she did what her father told her to do and this year they are celebrating seventeen years of marriage.

And what did her father say to her?

“‘NEVER GO TO BED ANGRY WITH YOU PARTNER.'”

What does the BIBLE say? The Bible says in Ephesians 4:26:

“‘IN YOUR ANGER DO  NOT SIN'”: “DO NOT LET THE SUN GO DOWN WHILE YOU ARE STILL ANGRY, …”

SUNSET IN KAITAIA

SUNSET IN KAITAIA

And in Matthew 7:24-29 the Lord Jesus Christ says that  everyone who hears his words and puts them into practice is like a wise man, and everyone who hears his words and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man.
