“Sweet treats” and “Tasty reads”

“Sweet treats” it says  at the top of one page. On the opposite page also at the top I am reading “Tasty reads”. I am looking at the August 2013 Paper Plus mailer and I am a bit surprised.

Why?

Because books are advertised on both pages.

But wait a minute.

Have you heard about Job? We read about Job in the Bible. He says that he treasures the Bible (commands of his lips) more than his daily  bread. (Job 23:12)

In one of the psalms David says this about the Bible. He says that the Bibel (ordinances of the LORD) is to him sweeter than honey.  (Psalm 19:10)

Another psalmist says that the words of the Bible (words of the LORD) are sweet to his taste and sweeter than honey to his mouth. (Psalm 119:103)

Jeremiah says that he ate the words of the Lord when they came. (Jeremiah 15:16)

Ezekiel is encouraged by the Lord to eat the scroll and he says in Eziekiel 3:3:

“So I ate, and it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth.”

And now I am no longer surprised.
