“A FRESH START TO YOUR DAY”

If you want to “eat fresh”, you go to “Subway.”

At Subway you can also have “A Fresh Start To Your Day.” “Breakfast Made Before Your Eyes.”

Breakfast is “available until 11AM every day.” How I like that, late breakfast. And that is not all. You have a choice of four meals. In the near future  I must go there to have the Value Meal called “Western Egg Omelette.” Breakfast made before my eyes.

Do we eat every day? I hear you say, “Yes!” We need to eat to keep on living!

Subway also says: “We bake our own bread.”

But listen to what we read in the Bible, the Word of the Living God:

And these are now the words of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: “It is written: ‘ Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Let us make every day a fresh start with the Word of the Living God! We do have in our house a good number of the little booklets called “Every Day with Jesus.” Not long ago I picked them up and perused some of them. Just now I am looking at one “Every Day with Jesus” booklet with the title “None other Name.” John 6:68 is also written on the front cover.

And listen to what we read in the well known Psalm 23! Psalm 23:5: ” You prepare a table before me…”

PRAISE THE LORD

What a Feat!

I am reading here about a 68 year old man from Cambridge in New Zealand who ran – not the Devenport ferry and the Interislander – from CAPE REINGA (North of  New Zealand)

to

BLUFF (South of New Zealand)

in 40 days. He averaged 50 km a day and did not miss a single day!

Hubbards Clipboard Issue 111

As you can read on the signpost the distance from Cape Reinga to Bluff is 1452 km. (784 nm)

IS IT A CHALLENGE FOR US, TO READ THE BIBLE, THE WORD OF THE LIVING GOD, FOR 40 DAYS WITHOUT MISSING A SINGLE DAY?

“The Search Is Over”

“The Search Is Over”

“If you have been searching for a property that is modern but family friendly then your search may have ended!”

That’s what I am reading in The Northland Age – Property Xpress, May 27, 2010.

It talks here about a  mostly renovated 3 bedroom home.

House-hunting! Who does not know about house-hunting? I have been hunting for houses in Thailand for myself and for the family. And not only in Thailand, but also here in  New Zealand -  in Auckland, Kaitaia and Kaikohe.

In my teens I have been  searching for “an eternal house in heaven”. (Second Corinthians 5:1)  Praise the Lord, “the search is over.” I have found the meaning to Life.  I have found the truth. I have found the Lord Jesus Christ. Or I should rather say the Lord Jesus Christ has found me! I know that I “have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.”

I am trusting in God. I am trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ. I am not letting my heart be troubled. What does my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ say in John 14:2? “In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.”

The Lord Jesus Christ says that he is going to prepare a place for me. How I like that. A place prepared by the Lord Jesus Christ! Imagine that! That must be a wonderful place to live in.

I own a book with the title “A Place Prepared” by Gloria Kearney. It was given to us by a missionary lady who is working in Africa. “A Place Prepared” is about “Stories from the lives of men and women who heard God’s voice, stepped into His plan and found His place.”

The Lord Jesus Christ is preparing places for people who hear his voice and step into His plan.

We worked in Kaikohe for almost 25 years with the United Maori Mission and I said while there, “The Lord has prepared this place for us.”

We are now living in Kaitaia and I say now, “The Lord has prepared this place for us.”

But I am looking forward to the place the Lord is preparing now for us in His Father’s house.

Are you familiar with the Gospel Song “Mansion over the hilltop” by Ira Stanphill? It has three verses and the chorus goes like this:

“I’ve got a mansion just over the hilltop,

In that bright land where we’ll never grow old;

And some day yonder we will never more wander

But walk the streets that are purest gold.”

“STRENGTHENING FAMILIES”

At the bottom of the two leaflets you can read “Strengthening Families.” In the Maori language: “Whakapiripiri Nga Whanau.”

The first leaflet starts with “You can make life better for your family” and the second starts with “A coordinated community approach that helps families reach their full potential.”

Although the leaflets have different words and different images on the front pages,  the aim is the same.

“STRENGTHENING FAMILIES  helps you sort things out when life’s challenges weigh you down.”

Almost at the end of one leaflet the benefits of STRENGTHENING FAMILIES are listed. STRENGTHENING FAMILIES is “good at helping families connect with their community” is one of them.

*********************

Of course, we want the best life for all families. Of course, it is our desire that all families reach their full potential. How can our families get the best life? How can our families reach their full potential?

Yes, things need to be sorted out in our lives. Who can sort out our lives? We must get connected again with our creator and ask him to sort out our lives. He will do it!

He says:

“COME TO ME, ALL YOU WHO ARE WEARY AND BURDENED, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST.” Matthew 11:28

WHAT A PROMISE!!
