Here is one tweet:
“Leaders must have a way to deal with the pressure of leadership or it has a potential of destroying them.”
“SEEING IS BELIEVING” ?
Have you ever heard that sentence?
I have those words actually here before me. I found them on one of the pages of the Westpac Investor Update Spring 2009.
There is a table showing the effect that compounding returns can have on a saving plan. And above that saving plan is written “SEEING IS BELIEVING”.
In John 20:24-29 The Lord Jesus Christ appears to doubting Thomas, who does not want to believe. Thomas is also called Didymus. Both names mean “TWIN”.
In John 20:29 the Lord Jesus Christ says to Thomas, “Because you have seen me, you have believed.”
And then the Lord continues in the same verse:
“BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN AND YET HAVE BELIEVED.”
Let us also turn to First Peter 1:8,9
“…; and even though you do not see him now,
— you believe in him and are
— filled with inexpressible and glorious joy,
— for you are receiving the goal of your faith,
— the salvation of your souls.”
“We put you first. You put us first. Again.”
When I saw the local Honda Shop again today on my way to town I was attracted by the sign that said:
“WE PUT YOU FIRST. YOU PUT US FIRST. AGAIN.”
What I read there reminded me of a well known verse from the Bible, the Word of the Living God.
What I read there was actually a letter from the Managing Director of Honda New Zealand to his customers: “We would like to thank all our customers for voting for us in the AA/JD Power Customer Satisfaction Award, which we’ve been fortunate enough to win for the third time.”
And here is the Bible verse mentioned earlier:
“BUT SEEK FIRST HIS KINGDOM AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND ALL THESE THINGS WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU AS WELL.”
Matthew 6:33
Do I need to say more? NO!

Began reading the Bible from cover to cover at the beginning of 2010 and read today Joshua 21:45 (In my Bible page 364):
“NOT ONE OF ALL THE LORD’S GOOD PROMISES TO THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL FAILED; EVERY ONE WAS FULFILLED.”
If I remember correctly, we were taught at Bible College that that was the key verse of the book.
What a GOLDEN NUGGET for me as a child of God!
I AM RICH!

“Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.”

EASTER
“In many respects I find an unresurrected Jesus easier to accept. Easter makes him dangerous. Because of Easter I have to listen to his extravagant claims and can no longer pick and chose from his sayings. Moreover, Easter means he must be loose out there somewhere.”
Philip Yancey
