GOOD MORNING! (Who is on the Throne?)
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on March 26, 2009
The following was pinned to the wall in one room of the Salvation Army here in town. It was very kind of them to make a copy for me:
“GOOD MORNING
THIS IS GOD!
I WILL BE HANDLING ALL YOUR PROBLEMS TODAY.
I WILL NOT NEED YOUR HELP.
SO HAVE A GOOD DAY!
Difficult to understand?
Study Systematic Theology. Find out what God is like. Study his attributes. Study the SELFEXISTENCE OF GOD ! Find out that you are a dependent being!
I did that today:
I listened to an Online Message from Believers Chapel. At the same time I made notes on the computer using Microsoft Office Word. The technology these days is fantastic!
Please do the same, especially if you don’t hear much about the doctrines of the BIBLE in your church!
GOLDEN NUGGET:

Proverbs 18:10
“THE NAME OF THE LORD IS A STRONG TOWER;
THE RIGHTEOUS RUN TO IT AND ARE SAFE.”
DO YOU TRUST THE CHURCH?
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on March 23, 2009
I am really glad, that I found that old Reader’s Digest in the local Salvation Army Store. (December 2000) I bought it for only 20 cents.
Inside the frontcover the word ‘TRUST’ stared at me and my curiosity was immediately aroused. The story started inside the frontcover and was continued on page 89.
Inside the frontcover it says: “In whom we trust:” Five of New Zealand’s most trusted brands are listed: Lemsip-State-Panadol-THE HEALTH FOOD COMPANY Sanitarium and Bell.
On page 89 I am reading: “Who do you trust?” I will answer that question of course and I will answer it with great joy.
The winners and losers are listed here as well. The winners are the pilots and the losers are the – politicians. The church is about in the middle. (12th position)
Who do I trust?
I am trusting the Lord Jesus Christ. The BIBLE, the Word of the Living God has a lot to say about trusting. Here I will only mention the words of the Lord Jesus Christ as recorded in the Gospel of John.
John 14:1
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. TRUST in God; TRUST also in me.”
Die Verheissungen des HERRN!

“Wenn wir den Reichtuemern der Bibel vertrauen, erfahren wir, dass es Gott ernst gewesen ist, als er uns seine Verheissungen gab.” – Corrie ten Boom
GOLDEN NUGGET – Please compare with the post called “EARTH HOUR”!
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on March 22, 2009
Isaiah 51:6
“Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. BUT MY SALVATION WILL LAST FOREVER, MY RIGHTEOUSNESS WILL NEVER FAIL.”
Praise the Lord!
Do YOU know where YOU are going?
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on March 22, 2009
I am having here a very interesting advertisement before me. It is in the Franchise New Zealand magazine. “Smart business people know where they are going.” That’s what it says here in big letters. The smart business people are the PoolWorx Franchisees. They have a special plan and a step-by-step plan to success. PoolWorx is also providing training and is giving franchisees tools to expand their business.
Now I want to ask YOU something, ” Do YOU know where YOU are going?”
We can know where we are going. Our creator, God, has a plan of SALVATION for us. In the Bible He shows us a step-by-step path to eternal life.
I have here a little booklet written by Billy Graham. He has 4 steps in the little tract:
1. God’s purpose for us is Peace and Life.
2. But we have a problem. We are separated from God. We are sinful. God is Holy. We are making attempts to bridge the gap without success: Good Works, Religion, Philosophy and Morality.
3. The only remedy is the cross.
4. We must receive Christ.
In the ad mentioned above it says also,”Many local entrepeneurs have followed the PoolWorx plan,…………, securing their financial FREEDOM.”
When we are following God’s plan, as we find it in the Word of God, we will find real FREEDOM. Please read: Isaiah 61:1; Romans 8:21; Second Corinthians 3:17.
WORD POWER
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on March 22, 2009
In the December 2000 Reader’s Digest – I bought it a couple of days ago at the local Salvation Army Store - I read about the Word Power of the Reader’s Digest. On page 96 the question is asked:
“WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN 100 MILLION PEOPLE TAKE YOUR WORD FOR SOMETHING?”
Over 100 Million people around the world read and TRUST the Reader’s Digest.
THE BIBLE
How many people worldwide are taking the Bible, the Word of the Living God for what it really is: THE WORD OF GOD?
How many people are reading the Bible?
How many people are trusting the WORD OF GOD?
THE MESSAGE ON THIS BLOG
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on March 22, 2009
I was really struck by something I read in the December 2000 issue of the Reader’s Digest. On page 40 it says:
“Their message was always the same: you can do it, too.”
You have probably noticed by now that the message on this blog is also almost always the same:
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
I think the greatest thing for me to say – together with many others - is also this:
“Jesus loves me! This I know,
For the Bible tells me so;…..”
That is the first line of a song. You find the song in The Song Book of The Salvation Army. In the table of contents you find it under: “The Young Soldier.” It has three verses and is written by Anna B. Warner.
SWEET DREAMS OR INSOMNIA?
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on March 21, 2009
SWEET DREAMS was written on the wall of the bedroom. It looked like it. The letters were fancy and the frame looked like a piece of art.
But unfortunately many people can’t sleep. Some time ago I read about the sleep service. The sleep service can help. We are encouraged, to book our appointment. There is a post called “CAN’T SLEEP?” on this blog. Filed under : Diary on March 5th, 2008.
On a bed is written “It’s amazing what a good night’s sleep can do.”
Proverbs 3:24
“..; when you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.”
Ecclesiastes 5:12
“The sleep of the laborer is sweet,..”
