“LIFE IS TOO SHORT……..”
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on February 28, 2009
“Life is too short….”
….. To waste your time dreaming about owning a new home.” ( “Brand new split level four bedroon home, master with ensuite, ……”)
That’s what I am reading in a paper selling properties.
Life is certainly too short……….to waste your time…..
Come to the Lord Jesus Christ. Hebrews 3:7,8 says, “So, as the Holy Spirit says: ‘TODAY, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion,…… ‘”
And the Lord Jesus Christ says himself in Matthew 11:28 : “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Yes, Life is too short…..
…….To waste your time dreaming about owning your new home.
Those who have come to the Lord Jesus Christ and know the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Saviour are praying about everything. They are also praying, that the Lord will give them a place to live in.
We have prayed and the Lord has given us a beautiful place.
I am always thankful to the Lord for the home He has given us!

Aelteren. Age Concern dient den Alten schon 60 Jahre. (Gegruendet im Jahre 1948 am neunten September)
“DAS ALTER IST EIN HERRLICH DING, WENN MAN NICHT VERLERNT HAT, WAS ANFANGEN HEISST.” – Martin Buber
I have heard the saying: “Some are dying with 6o and are buried when they are 90.”
The Gift of TIME
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on February 28, 2009
Time suddenly became precious for the married couple.
I read that in the four page publication called “KOWHAI CONNECTION” I picked up before Christmas in Auckland. (There are beautiful pictures in that magazine!)
The husband was diagnosed with cancer and they did now three things: From now on they focused on having the best time of their lives, packing in as many adventures as they could. And thirdly they would be using the GIFT OF TIME to say the things they needed to say.
Time should be precious for all of us all the time. And time is precious! The couple mentioned above had only nine months to say ‘good-bye’ and to say the things they needed to say.
But we are all on the same boat. And we don’t know the time when we have to say ‘good-bye’. But the time is coming for all of us. The time is coming for all of us to meet our creator, the Lord Jesus Christ. And I also want to use my gift of time to say the things I need to say:
Today is the Day!
Do you hear the voice of the Lord?
If you do, don’t harden your heart.
NOW is then time of God’s favour.
Now is the DAY of SALVATION!
The Lord hears us NOW , if we cry out to him.
This is the day of SALVATION and HE wants to help us NOW!
What a Connector!

“The soil is the great connector of our lives, the source and destination of all.” – Wendell Berry
The Bible says in Genesis 3:19
“By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”
We are so divided because WE HAVE FORGOTTEN, where we all came from originally:
1. We all came from the DUST
2. The LORD made us all from the DUST
Let us come back to our creator. Then the division will stop and we will be connected again!
PREPARATION
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on February 26, 2009
One person I know very well. That person starts his website as follows, “Preparation is more important than the actual doing.”
Not long ago I read something else about preparation. Here it is: “The difference between adventure and disaster in preparation.” – ANON
The person mentioned above heard me say quite often: ” Preparation is more important than the actual doing.”
Preparation has always been very important to me. I actually make my own diary and call it MY LOGBOOK. Yes, preparation is very important, especially when going on a journey.
I can actually say my life has been an adventure, an adventure with the Lord Jesus Christ. 26 years in Germany, 13 years in Thailand, and the rest here at the end of the world……New Zealand. For the people in Europe NZ is at the end of the world.
Preparations are especially important when we are going on a journey. Soon we will be going on our last journey.
ARE YOU PREPARED FOR THIS LAST JOURNEY?
Please remember, “The difference between adventure and disaster is PREPARATION.

“MILESTONES”
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on February 26, 2009
On our way to Auckland before Christmas, I picked up a copy of the WHANGAREI LEADER and discovered the “Milestone Feature.” Reader’s are welcome to contribute.
The editor could be interested in the following: birthday, graduation, baptism, wedding, anniversary and so on….
We are also encouraged to send photos.
I would like to send him my greatest “Milestone Story”, (my second birthday) namely how I came out of Darkness into Light, from Death into Life. I would like to tell him how the Lord Jesus Christ found me. That happened many years ago, namely in September 1958. (02. 09. 1958) But do I have a picture to go with that?
Never mind, I don’t think the story would be printed.
I better send him one of my pictures, the one with the Norfolk Pine and graveyard. That is another of my Milestones!
Type Norfolk Pine into the window and click on SEARCH!
A most interesting Advertisement

I find it interesting anyway.
A liquor Trading Centre is advertising all the finest range of spirits, beers and more. The letters are quite big.
— But then underneath it says in bigger letters that the Trading Centre is concerned about the community and supporting the campaign to reduce drug and alcohol abuse.
– The advert is also in a magazine pointing out the dangers of alcohol and illegal drugs.
“The Battle Field is the World”
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on February 26, 2009
“The Battle Field is the World” was written in big letters above the dining room door (on the inside) of the old headquarters of the Worldwide Evangelization Crusade in London, now WEC International.
The location was 19 Highland Road, in the Southeast of London. I know that, because I used to stay there for about half a year about 40 years ago.
WEC is a missinary Society with lots of missionaries all over the world. There is a saying, “Join WEC and you will see the world.” That is just about true.
I have been thinking about “The Battle Fied is the World” quite a bit lately. How true is that!
But it is even of greater truth that “THE BATTLE FIELD IS THE CHURCH”.
I think every church building should have written above the entrance door – from the inside – “THE BATTLE FIELD IS THE CHURCH!”
DEAD PEOPLE STILL SPEAK (Stress/Pressure points)
Posted by werner in Uncategorized on February 26, 2009
In Hebrews 11:4 , please read the verse, the BIBLE is saying something very interesting about Abel. It says there about him, “And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead.”
I am reading at the moment a devotional book by a German pastor called Wilhelm Busch. He died in June 1966 – you can figur out for yourselve how many years ago that was – and what I read some time ago was a real blessing! It just spoke to me in a special way.
Let me summarize:
He is actually talking about pressure points.
The Lord is not taking away all our sorrow and all the things that make us sad – but he is giving us ONE big light, that is shining into all our darkness. The light is the Lord Jesus Christ himself! John 8:12
We say, “If I could remove all the pressure points in my life, I will be full of joy.” But all those who know the Lord are full of joy in spite of all the pressure points. They are in the arms of the Lord. They praise God for what it says in Luke 2:11 (Please read!) There is a Saviour for our greatest need!
And – listen to this now – we can come to the Lord in prayer and talk to him about everything, all our stress points and all our pressure points.
