“A Burden shared is a Burden halved.”


Yesterday I read the above adage. An adage is a proverb, a traditional saying that is accepted by many as true. But I think that the BIBLE is showing us a way which is even better. Let us read Psalm 55:22 – I love the Psalms – in The Amplified Bible, “CAST YOUR BURDEN ON THE LORD [ RELEASING THE WEIGHT OF IT] AND HE WILL SUSTAIN YOU;…”

“PRAISE BE TO THE LORD, TO GOD OUR SAVIOR, WHO DAILY BEARS OUR BURDENS.“

    I love reading the Psalms. That phrase came to me today, “A burden shared is a burden halved” but I don’t know who origionally said it. Do you? Thanks!
