I picked up a Family Health Diary Magazine at the local pharmacy and right at the beginning was a St John Lifelink TM alarm advertisement: “As you grow older, your independence tends to become more and more precious.” When I read that, I started to think. I read it again and started to laugh! Precious independence?

In another issue of the same magazine, a registered psychologist is writing also about independence: “Being comfortable in your own space, trusting yourself and depending on no one else but you, can be empowering.” What a sentence! Tell me more!

The truth is, that we are dependent beings. Only GOD is selfexistent. He is the only independent being in  the universe. WE ARE DEPENDENT ON GOD!

When are we going to learn that?

I like that very much.

We read about a man in the BIBLE who did just that. It is no other than the apostle Paul. Let us read Romans 15:20 “It has always been my ambition to preach the GOSPEL where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone elses foundation.”
