Don’t save anything for a special occasion. Being alive is the special occasion. ( I hope I am going to learn that!)—Especially for those who belong to the LORD JESUS CHRIST!

I read this recently on a big poster:

“Thankfully, refinancing to get control of your life is about as demanding as this. (Picture of a piece of cake) We’d like to show you how refinancing for a better FUTURE really is a piece of cake.”

The BIBLE, the word of the living God says in Romans 13:8 : Owe nothing to anyone- except for the obligation to love one another.” END OF STORY ! You may have read this “END of Story” in other advertisements, for example, “Made to last-End of Story” etc.

Owe nothing to anyone-End of Story!

But is it? NO, for most of mankind it is not!

If we would do what the BIBLE says, we would not have to worry about A BETTER FUTURE and TO GET CONTROL OF OUR LIFE as the poster is telling us.

If we would do what the BIBLE says, we would have a better future, not only in this life, but also in the life to come. And remember, that the LORD should be in control of our lives and not we. Once the Lord is in control of our lives, we are also in control of our finances.

I took a shortcut through McDonald’s to get to the Lynn Mall when I saw him sitting there. The first thing I saw was actually what was written on the front of his cap:”I LOVE JESUS”!—We got talking of course and the cap was bought at a fleemarket he told me. I have forgotten where the market was.

I would like to buy a cap for myself I thought. But would I want to wear it here in Kaitaia as I wear my other caps? That is the question! What a challenge! What a commitment! The words from Matthew 10:32,33 and Luke 12:8,9 come to my mind.

But I would have never had the talk with my brother in Christ from the Philippines without the writing on the cap.– I have his email address.

I read something very interesting about GOALS: ” Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your GOAL.”– Henry Ford Two Bible Verses are coming to my mind straight away. One from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament. Second Chronicles 20:12 and Hebrews 12:2.

We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help. We do this by keeping our eyes on JESUS the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Our GOAL as Christians is JESUS!

We want to keep our eyes on HIM. He is our champion. He initiates our faith. He is perfecting our faith. He is our helper. In fact HE performs miracles for us.
